BETAGIST: TIMAYA CALLS OUT NIGERIAN POLITICIANS ON HIS NEW SINGLE

Inetimi Alfred Odon better known as Timaya, has used his new song, Pity 4 Us, to address politicians and challenge Nigerians.

Apart from chastising politicians and lamenting the effects of Nigeria’s economic recession, the singer also challenged Nigerians to look inward.
To politicians, Timaya sang, “This was not what they promised. Dem tell us say dem go bring the change oh. Situation just dey bad. As day dey break, things just dey hard.
“No food to chop, everyday dollar dey rise oh. See the people done dey cry.”

Timaya’s chorus was more of an appeal to the politicians, urging them to have mercy on Nigerians.
“Pity for us, politicians please pity for us. See, my people don dey die. Politicians, have mercy on us,” he sang, pleadingly.

In the second verse of the slow-paced song, the singer advised Nigerians to search their “conscience” and to change their ways.
“As we siddon dey complain, our own full our body. Search your conscience. We sef, we no good… we sef, we no dey try.”
